Brec
Brec is 10 years old and in the 4th grade. She hails from a small indigenous village Quelcanca located at an elevation of 3784 meters (12,415 feet), an hour and 15 min drive from Ollantaytambo. She has 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Her mother is a homemaker and sells handicrafts to tourists and her father works in construction. She loves studying accounting and wants to become a chartered accountant as a professional. She enjoys playing volleyball and when she is not attending school on the weekends, holidays and summer and winter breaks, she is busy taking care of the Lamas and Alpacas at home. She keeps a keen eye on them attending closely to their needs and they all get along very well as one happy family.

Daniel
Daniel is 9 years of age and in the 2nd grade. He hails from the town of Ollantaytambo. He is the oldest in the family and has 3 sisters. His father is a farmer and his mother is a homemaker. He enjoys studying mathematics in school and desires to become a civil engineer as a professional. In his free time he loves playing football.

Frank Joel
Frank Joel is 11 years of age and is in the 5th grade. He hails from Huilloq, an indigenous (Quechua) farming community located at an altitude of 3400meters (10,200 feet) , approximately 12 km from Ollantaytambo. He is the oldest of 2 children. His father works as a porter for a local trekking company and his mother is a homemaker and sells handicrafts to tourists. He enjoys studying mathematics and loves playing football in his free time. He wants to become a tour guide as a professional.

Fred
Fred is 12 years of age and is in the 7th grade. He hails from Bandolista, a small farming community located at the outskirts of Ollantaytambo, about 2 km from the main city square. He has 2 sisters and is the middle child of the family. His mother is a homemaker and his father works in construction. His favorite subject in school is communication and he loves playing football in his free time. He wants to become a mechanical engineer as a professional.

Mayra
Mayra is 10 years of age and in the 4th grade. She hails from the town of Ollantaytambo. She is the oldest of 4 sisters. Her father works in construction and her mother sells food items and water at the train station from where tourists take the train to head to Machu Picchu. She enjoys studying communication and language and desires to become a civil engineer as a professional. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball.

Yalisa
Yalisa is 9 years of age and in the 3rd grade. She hails from Bandolista, a small farming community at the outskirts of Ollantaytambo, about 2 km from the main square of the city. She is the youngest of 3 children. Her parents are farmers. Her favorite subject in school is mathematics and she loves playing volleyball as a sport. She wants to become a teacher as a professional.

Korina
Korina is 10 years old and in the 4th grade. She hails from a small indigenous village Quellorakay located in the outskirts of the town Ollantaytambo, situated on the banks of the Urubamba river and overlooking the beautiful sacred valley. The village is close to several important archaeological sites which are tourist hot spots. She has 2 sisters and is the oldest of them. Her mother is a homemaker and her father is a farmer. She loves studying accounting and wants to become a chartered accountant as a professional. She enjoys playing soccer in school and on the weekends and holidays, she helps out on the farm.

Keyla
Keyla is 11 years old and in the 5th grade. She hails from a small indigenous village Pallata located at an elevation of 2890 meters (8675 feet), 6.5 km from the town of Ollantaytambo. She has 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Her mother is a homemaker and her father works in a hotel in Ollantaytambo. She loves going to school and wants to become a Professor in Education. Her favorite sport in school is soccer.

Diego
Diego is 12 years old and in the 6th grade. He hails from the indigenous village Pallata. He is the only child in his family. His mother is a homemaker and his father works in a hotel in Ollantaytambo. He loves studying communication and mathematics and wants to become a doctor of medicine as a professional. He enjoys playing soccer and volleyball in school.

Saulo
Saulo is 12 years old and in the 6th grade. He hails from a small indigenous village Huilloq located at an elevation of 4000 meters (12,000 feet) some 12 km from Ollantaytambo. He has 2 brothers. His mother is a homemaker and his father is a farmer. He enjoys studying commerce and mathematics and wants to become a doctor as a professional. On the weekends he helps with chores on the farm. He enjoys playing football in school.

Yuset
Yuset is 11 years old and is in the 6th grade. He hails from a small indigenous village Cachicata located at an altitude of 4100 meters (12300 feet) some 14 km from the town of Ollantaytambo. It lies on the famed Inca trail and is known for its ancient quarries used by the pre-Inca and the Inca to build their stone complexes and temples. He has one sister who is younger than him. His mother is a homemaker and his father works in construction. He enjoys studying mathematics and wants to become a civil engineer as a professional. He loves playing soccer in school.

Floradriana
